Detox Water Recipes

Detox Water
The only way to flush out toxins and keep your skin looking top notch is water, water and more water! Here are three detox water recipes, try to use filtered water (Brita’s are great) and organic produce (read about the dirty dozen and clean fifteen.) Prep these detox waters the night before and pop them in the fridge and you will be glowing inside out through spring and summer.

Cucumber & Parsley

Parsley is one of my favourite herbs, it’s so refreshing and invigorating. I love using it in pestos, salads and even smoothies. It’s a really potent detoxifying herb and has numerous health benefits. Cucumber detox water is already an amazing source of hydration, but I love adding parsley to mine as well.

2 cups of filtered water
A few slices of cucumber
A handful of parsley

Pour water into a glass bottle or mason jar, add cucumber & parsley.

Hibiscus & Lemon

Hibiscus, like other red foods, contain anthocyanins, molecules believed to have antioxidant properties. Adding them to your lemon water could help to lower blood pressure and help maintain healthy cholesterol levels, they also have a lovely taste.

2 cups of filtered water
A few dried hibiscus flowers
Some slices of lemon

Pour water into a glass bottle or mason jar, add hibiscus and lemon.

Apple & Cinnamon

Cinnamon is such a life giving spice and it has the most beautiful flavour. If you crave something a little sweeter, adding a few apple slices and stick of cinnamon to water will do the trick. This powerful detox water is an infamous favourite.

Two cups of filtered water
Some slices of apple
A cinnamon stick

Pour water into a glass bottle or mason jar, add apple slices and cinnamon.
