This recipe for chocolate torte is rich and decadent but guilt free! (For the record, I never feel guilty about dessert.)
This is another recipe I created for Bare Snacks. Sometimes when I see desserts that call for many different ingredients, I shy away from them. This only has five, so no excuses.
It really is one of the cleanest chocolate dessert recipes I have probably ever come up with, I’m quite proud of myself right now and will be devouring this with a sprinkle of cacao and some organic strawberries!
40g of your favourite dark chocolate (I used Alter Eco Black Out)
2tbsp of coconut oil
1/4 cup of toasted coconut chips (I used Bare Chocolate Bliss Coconut Chips)
2 large organic eggs
1/4tsp baking powder
Preheat oven to 325F and grease a 6″ baking dish or tin.
In a bain-marie melt set your chocolate and coconut oil to melt together. Once they have melted, set aside and allow the chocolate to cool slightly.
In the meantime, blitz your coconut chips in a blender with the eggs for a couple of minutes.
Once your chocolate has cooled, spoon in the egg mixture little by little. Stir furiously, to combine it well. Once they are both combined together, the mixture will thicken and become nice and glossy.
Pour into your dish or tin and bake for about 25-30 minutes. You’ll know it’s done when it has set and is slightly firm to touch in the middle. Allow torte to cool and serve with organic strawberries and a sprinkle of cacao powder.
