As it transpired for Goldilocks, because of her autoimmunity, she couldn’t have the three bears’ oatmeal for breakfast after all. All three bowls of oat meal contained refined sugar and cow’s dairy. After a long walk in the forest, she was cold, tired and hungry.
“This isn’t how my story is supposed to be, let alone my oatmeal!”
So she decided to leave and get some breakfast elsewhere while she was at it.
This creamy and delicious oatmeal is perfect and makes for some good food! It will put a smile on everyone’s face, no matter what your eating preferences are. Even Goldilocks couldn’t say no to this oatmeal recipe!
- 3/4 cup gluten-free rolled oats (soaked overnight and drained)
- 3/4 cup filtered water
- 1tsp vanilla
- 1/4tsp cinnamon
- 3/4 cup almond milk
- 2tbsp maple syrup
- Add your oats, water, vanilla and cinnamon to a saucepan and place on a low to medium heat.
- Allow the water to heat up slowly, keep stirring the oatmeal. Wait until the water is drying up (about ten to fifteen minutes) and then add most of the milk, reserving some.
- Keep stirring the oatmeal until it reaches the consistency that you like, spoon equally in to two bowls and pour on the remaining milk and add the maple syrup.
