I’ll be honest, I haven’t had green protein until now. Not that I didn’t try, just couldn’t find one that actually tasted amazing, but I am really loving Orange Naturals protein shake. I did tell my self that as soon as I found one, I’d put up some awesome protein smoothie recipes. So here is the first one, I love kick starting the day with this green goodness, I’ve added wheatgrass and hemp hearts because they are some of my favourite smoothie additions, but you can always sub in some spirulina or flax.
3/4 cup of almond milk
2/4 cup of filtered water (or six ice cubes)
1 Medjool date
1tsp wheatgrass powder
1tbsp almond butter
Scoop of your favourite protein powder
Two handfuls of green leaves
1 tsp hemp hearts
Blitz all the ingredients, except the hemp hearts, together in your blender until smooth.
Pour into a glass, sprinkle the hemp hearts on top and drink up!
