Instant Baobab Fro Yo

Instant Fro Yo

When Baobest sent me their amazing Baobab Superfruit Powder, my hubby was really excited. After all we are talking about fruits of The Tree of Life from his favourite Disney film, The Lion King.

Rafiki’s tree was my first introduction to this amazing source of antioxidants and electrolytes. More potent than blueberries, goji berries, acai or pomegranate and with six times the vitamin C of oranges, it’s no wonder this raw, whole food that naturally dehydrates inside fruits of the African Baobab tree, is called the Queen of Superfruits by Baobest.

Baobest has the utmost respect for this nutrient powerhouse. Each bag of organic and wild-harvested Baobab fruit powder is tracked meticulously from tree branch to store shelf. Your consumption of it will not only deliver numerous health benefits to you (it contains more iron, potassium, magnesium and Vitamin C than most other popular super foods), but also give the women of southern Africa, who harvest the the Baobab fruit a sustainable income and allow for the protection of this ancient tree.

The African Baobab tree has nourished people for centuries and is the planet’s highest plant source of calcium. Exquisitely designed by Mother Nature, it requires almost no processing and retains maximum nutrient potency and synergy. Baobest’s Superfruit Powder is very high in bioavailability, is an exceptional source of fibre (more than half is ultra-healthful soluble fibre) and ethically and sustainably harvested.

It tastes great and super fun to eat. There are so many different ways to get Baobab powder into your diet, smoothies and oatmeal or you could try baking pancakes, cookies and muffins with it!

With the sun out and about, I decided to whip up some frozen yoghurt. I used coconut yoghurt but use any you like and try out different frozen fruits. It’s delicious, quick and most of all nutrient dense thanks to the inclusion of Baobest’s Superfruit Powder!
